Statement of Faith:
We are a Nondenominational Christian Bible Teaching Church
We are a Bible Teaching Church
We take the Bible seriously. We believe the Bible is the only thing that should guide the life of a Christian. The Bible is our compass for life. Our Pastor teaches the Bible verse by verse and teaches from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation. We never skip verses when we cover a chapter of scripture and we always make sure that verses are kept in their proper context.
We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This God is the creator of all things. (Matthew 5:16, 45; 6:1;4-9; James 1:17; John 1:1-4, 14; Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe the Bible is God’s written revelation of Himself to man, the inspired and infallible Word of God, and the supreme and final authority for all matters of life. (Mark 12:36, John 14:26; 16:12-15; Acts 1:16; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; Hebrews 4:12)
We believe that God created mankind to have a relationship with Him, but man has separated himself from God by sin and is lost. (Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. (John 1:1-4; 1 John 4:9; 2 Peter 3:18) (Matthew 21:11; John 19:19; John 1:14; Romans 5:15-17; Colossians 2:9; Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:26-38)
We believe Jesus Christ died on a cross, was buried, and rose again in bodily form on the third day. (Luke 23:44; 24:5-8, John 20:24-29; 1 Corinthians 15:15:3-8)
We believe Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. (Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1)
The Second Coming
We believe Jesus Christ will return to the earth to judge both the living and the dead. (Matthew24:36-42; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10-11; 10:39-42; 1 Peter 4:5)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is an active and operative part of the triune God. (John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27)
We believe the Bible teaches that salvation and the forgiveness of sins are achieved only by grace through the blood of Christ. (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 18:19; 1 John 1:7).
We believe that Spiritual Gifts are meant to edify or build up the Local Church. Every Christian has a specific Spiritual Gift that is meant to be used within the context of the Local Church. If a Christian is not part of a Local Church then they cannot contribute to the Local Church by having a place to put to use their specific Spiritual Gift.
We believe there is no such thing as a lone ranger Christian. As we grow in our walk with the Lord we need a community or Church filled with other Christians that love Jesus to help us mature in our walk with Jesus. These people come alongside us, guide us, and help us in the journey that is following Christ. We believe it is the desire of God for all Christians to be plugged into a good Local Bible Teaching Church.
We believe we as Christians are called to “expose” False Teachers. We are a Church that calls out False Teachers and heretics by name so that Christians understand what Teachers they need to avoid. The Bible tells us to “mark” and avoid false teachers. False Teachers are ravenous wolves … we are called to “expose” false teachers and protect the message of the Gospel.
We Believe every Christians should serve their Local Church. This isn’t legalism or a command, but simply an act of love and obedience on the part of the believer. Service can look like many things from serving in kid’s ministry to cleaning up after a Church related Dinner. We believe serving the Local Church shouldn’t be a burden.
Church should not be about entertainment, cool lights, or an emotional atmosphere.
We believe that Church should not be about cool lights, fog machines, entertainment, the best sound system, or having the perfect sounding Worship Team. We believe as Christians Church should be about Glorifying God. We don't need to spend our money on fancy stuff, trendy buildings, slick productions, and expensive lights in order to “do Church”.
